Free Pattern 3 - Stunning Feather and Fan Stitch Stole/scarf

This beautiful stole is worked in a complex looking but actually very simple pattern which creates wonderful texture and movement and works well with any yarn, smooth yarns show the stitch definition off best but fine yarns like Rowan's Kidsilk Haze can create a fragile evening piece (or summer wedding) using exactly the same instructions. Our sample here shows the piece worked in new Rowan Felted Tweed Colour, so the colour gradients are all contained within the one yarn, but it also works beautifully in a single colour, or stripes worked to follow the patterning.
