Our new yarn for the spring summer season is Summer Tweed, a blend of 70% silk & 30% cotton, knitted on 5 mm needles. It is available in a range of sixteen colours, which range from classic naturals like oats, raffia and reed to brights like exotic, nectar and morning glory. The RRP per 50g hank is £3.95 and it has a meterage of 108m per hank.
The magazine contains our usual mix of fashion and editorials features. The four fashion stories are;
Hot In The City - Designs are sharp and sassy, including halter and
cowl necked vests, longline tunics and scooped backs sweaters. Garments are
knitted in 4ply Cotton worked with Lurex Shimmer, Cotton Glace and new shades
of Linen Drape.
Sand & Surf - Designed by Kim Hargreaves, Sarah Dallas,
Martin Storey and Zoe Mellor this collection contains denim jackets, zipped
tops and sloppy joe's, snug designs essentials for cloudy days and cool summer
evenings. Featuring bold prints and stripes, in Denim and sun bleached shades
of Handknit DK and All Seasons Cotton.
Hazy Day's - Pretty fairisles and ribbon from Sarah Dallas, lace from Sharon Peake and rich stripes from Kaffe Fassett contrast with crisp white cottons. Photographed in a Mediterranean village, with it's Historic buildings, leafy courtyards and cobbled streets, these feminine garments look very at home in this tranquil setting.
Islands In The Sun - Set in a paradise like location, these designs take inspiration from a Greek goddess. Bold shapes knitted in a colour pallet of olive, butter, gold and bronze shine against an aqua sea.
